There are many kinds of Cups. I will only explain here how to prepare several refreshing Cups for luncheon and dinner. The ingredients are for a party of four

Champagne Cup

Put a large lump of ice into a big jug and add
1 liqueur glass of Abricotine
1 liqueur glass of Curacao
2 liqueur glasses of Brandy
1 bottle of iced Champagne
1 bottle of cold Soda Water
Stir up well and decorate with different kinds of fruit in season. A sprig of fresh mint or borage or even a slice of cucumber peel are often added

Cider Cup

Put a large lump of ice into a big jug and add
1 gill of Pale Sherry
1 /2 gill of Brandy
1/2 gill of Curacao
2 pint bottles of the best cider
The rind of a whole lemon
Stir up and serve

Claret Cup

Put a large lump of ice into a big jug and add
The juice of a lemon
1 liqueur glass of Curacao
2 liqueur glasses of Brandy
1 bottle of iced Claret
1 bottle of cold Soda Water
Stir up well and decorate with different kinds of fruit in season. A sprig of fresh mint or borage or even a slice of cucumber peel are often added

Dancers Cup

Put a large lump of ice in a big jug and add 1 liqueur glass of Orgeat Syrup.
Fill the jug with equal parts of best iced Cider and cold Soda Water.
Stir up well and decorate with thin slices of lemon. A cup of Brandy improves this cup tremendously.

Hock Cup

Put a large lump of ice into a big jug and add
1 liqueur glass of Curacao
2 liqueur glasses of Brandy
1 bottle of iced Hock
1 bottle of cold Soda Water
Stir up well and decorate with different kinds of fruit in season. A sprig of fresh mint or borage or even a slice of cucumber peel are often added

Madeira Cup

Put a large lump of ice into a big jug and add
The juice of a lemon
1/2 gill of Mandarinette
1 bottle of Dry Madeira Wine
1 bottle of cold Soda Water
Stir up well and decorate with thinly cut slices of lemon and a little borage

Orange Cup

Put a large lump of ice into a big jug and add
A pint of fresh orange juice and the juice of one lemon to give it a tang
Sweeten with 1/2 gill of Sugar Syrup and 1/2 gill of Apricot Syrup
Fill the jug up with iced water or equal parts of cold water and Soda Water. Decorate with thinly sliced cuts of Orange after stirring the ingredients well.
This cup is good for dances and garden parties.

Peace Cup

Smash 3 or 4 slices of fresh Pine-apple and 2 dozen clean strawberries
Add some caster sugar and a little water
Strain carefully into a large jug and add a big lump of ice.
Add 1/2 gill of Maraschino, a bottle of iced Champagne and a bottle of Soda Water
Stir up well and decorate with pieces of Pine-apple cut into dice and strawberries
